Attorney

As the principal of The Bhatia Law Firm with more than 15 years of experience in broad practice across including commercial real estate, business law, government contracts, estate planning, and immigration law, Vikrant faces a dynamic and demanding daily schedule that involves balancing complex legal work with firm management and client relations. In the realm of commercial real estate, Vikrant reviews transactions such as property acquisitions, leases, and financings, ensuring that all agreements comply with zoning laws, environmental regulations, and state and local ordinances. Vikrant also negotiates deals, advises clients on due diligence processes, and addresses issues like easements, land use restrictions, and title disputes. Mr. Bhatia also represents clients in the condominium conversion process in both Virginia and D.C. Vikrant has represented clients in the development, management, purchase, sale, and lease of properties worth several million dollars.

Simultaneously, Mr. Bhatia is also heavily involved in business law, advising clients on corporate governance, structuring business entities, handling mergers and acquisitions, and drafting commercial contracts. Vikrant often deals with shareholder agreements, intellectual property rights, and corporate compliance, helping businesses manage risk. Vikrant’s government contracts practice involves advising clients on navigating complex procurement processes and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. In addition to these transactional matters, estate planning is a significant part of the firm’s practice. Vikrant help clients draft wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. This often involves sensitive conversations with clients about end-of-life planning to ensure that their assets are protected for future generations.

Finally, Vikrant’s immigration law work includes advising individuals and businesses on visa applications, green card processes, and work permits. Finally, as the firm’s managing principal, Vikrant must also handle firm operations, including budget management, overseeing billing processes, and making strategic decisions about the firm's growth and development. Given the diverse nature of my practice, my ability to prioritize, stay organized, and navigate these different legal areas is essential to providing high quality service to the firm’s clients.
